Saint Petersburg apartments can also help you receive a Russian visa invitation. This is the document that is necessary to receive a Russian visa. Only Russian Consulate’s can issue the actual visa but in order to receive one, you will have to have the Russian visa invitation (sometimes called a voucher).

Applying for the Russian visa invitation is easy, just pick the type of Russian visa invitation you will need and click on the appropriate button to take you to the Russian visa invitation application.

Usually guests staying at our apartments in Saint Petersburg only require a Russian tourist visa which is good for single entry travel with up to a 30 day stay. We also offer a double entry Russian tourist visa invitation – allowing 2 entries within the 30 day period. Finally, for business people coming to Saint Petersburg for longer trips, we can also offer a multiple entry business visa invitation good for 6 months or 1 year

Business visas can only be applied for within 45 days of the applicant's planned entry into Russia

*This is for a paper invitation that must be mailed to you. Postage is not included and is extra. Express postage is charged at market rates (approximately 100 USD per package).

POST DELIVERY OF THE VISA INVITATION IS NOT INLUDED AND THE CHARGE WILL BE BETWEEN $10 and $100 or 10 EURO and 80 EURO.

For business visa support, please fax a copy of the first page of your passport to +7 812 315 9151 or scan a copy and email to office@apartments-st-petersburg.net.

After receiving your visa invitation or voucher, you should bring or send a copy of it along with other accompanying documents (listed below) to a Russian Embassy or Russian Consulate in your country.

Before sending in your documents to the Russian Consulate, we suggest that you call the Embassy or Consulate or check its web site to receive information related to processing in your country. Some Russian Consulates will request the original of the visa invitation instead of a copy. This is the usual practice for business visas, however sometimes a telex can be sent to the Russian Consulate.

If you discover that the original invitation or voucher is required by the Russian Consulate, please tell us and we will send it to you by express post. We require that Express postage be paid by the customer.

• Original passport with expiration date at least 6 months beyond the end of the visa expiration date. You must have 2 free / clean pages (no stamps or marks on these 2 pages) in the passport to which the visa will be inserted - they should be side by side
• 3 passport size photos
• Consular visa processing fee payable to the Russian Consulate by cashiers check or money order
• Cover letter (doc)
• Prepaid self-addressed return envelope from a registered delivery service such as DHL, UPS or Federal Express if you plan to have the Russian Consulate mail the visa to you
• For business visas only, if you plan to stay in Russia for more than 3 months a HIV test is required (please contact the nearest Russian Consulate or Embassy or review its web site for further information)

Russian Visa Registration

It is extremely important to register your Russian visa within 1 day of your arrival in Saint Petersburg. Failure to do so will frequently result in fines at the airport or trouble leaving Russia. Also Saint Petersburg police frequently stop foreigners in the street for document checks and often demand money from the traveler if their registration documents are not in order.
