Arriving in St. Petersburg by bus
St. Petersburg's main bus station is located in a very dirty part of the city center near Ligovsky Prospect and Obvodny Canal and right next to the famous Apartment Kievskaya. Buses to most destinations depart from here. To be honest, buses are not the best way to travel in Russia - better take a train. The Ligovskaya Metro station is located a 10 minute walk away. You can also reach better parts of the center by taxi or mini bus taxi (called a Marshrutka).
